Terms of use
1. Who we are
This site (my.kinetic.im) and the Kinetic app are run by Netcetera Ltd, a company incorporated in the Isle of Man (registration number IOM 080655C) - "Kinetic", "we", "us". You can reach us at privacy@kinetic.im.
By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. What Kinetic does
Kinetic helps tennis clubs and groups organise social play: you can see upcoming matches, vote to play, check in on court, see results, leaderboards and live scores, join leagues, find clubs near you and take our playing-style quiz. Clubs, coaches and league admins use it to set up matches, run Mixin sessions and record scores.
Kinetic is a tool for organising tennis. We don't run the clubs, courts or matches themselves - those are organised by the clubs, leagues and players involved.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 to create an account. Younger players may be added by a parent, guardian, club or coach who is responsible for them.
- Give accurate details and keep them up to date. One account per person.
- Keep your password and sign-in links private. Sign-in links sent by WhatsApp or email let anyone who has them into your account while they are valid, so don't forward them.
- Your Kinetic account works both here and in the Kinetic app.
- You can ask us to close your account at any time - see the Privacy policy.
4. Playing fair
When you use Kinetic you agree:
- to vote only for matches you intend to play, and to cancel if you can't make it;
- to check in only for yourself, and only when you are at the match;
- to record scores honestly - leaderboards only work if results are true;
- not to impersonate anyone, harass other players, or post anything offensive or unlawful;
- not to misuse the site - for example by trying to access other people's accounts or data, overloading it, scraping it, or getting round its security.
Club, league and coach admins can see and manage information about the players in their club, league or group so they can organise play. If you are an admin you must use that access only for organising tennis, and treat players' details as confidential.
5. Leaderboards, results and what others can see
League leaderboards and live scores are public web pages. They show your first name, photo, country flag, points and results. Players in the same match or league can see that you voted or checked in. If you don't want to appear, leave the league or contact us.
6. WhatsApp, email and other services
Match polls, reminders and sign-in links are sent through WhatsApp and email. By joining a club's WhatsApp group or giving us your number, you agree to receive these messages for the matches and leagues you are part of. You can leave a group or ask us to stop at any time.
Some features link to other services - for example UTR Sports, Playtomic, Google Maps and the app stores. Their own terms apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Your content
You keep the rights to what you add, such as your profile photo. You give us permission to store and show it on Kinetic for as long as your account is open, so the service can work (for example on leaderboards and match lists).
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Kinetic running and accurate, but it is provided "as is": we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that scores, rankings, forecasts and ratings shown (including UTR ratings and weather) are always correct. We may change, pause or stop features, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms.
9. Liability
Tennis is a physical sport - you play at your own risk, and courts, bookings and matches are the responsibility of the clubs and players involved. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from matches, courts or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
10. Changes to these terms and the law that applies
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we will tell you about important changes. These terms are governed by the law of the Isle of Man. If you live in the EU or UK you also keep the protections of the consumer laws where you live.
